Requesting Certificates

AlchemOS Positive issues digital sustainability certificates that organisations can use in marketing collateral, annual reports and stakeholder communications. Each certificate references verified emission data and retired offset credits with immutable serial numbers.

Certificate types

Type Description
GHG Inventory Certificate Confirms your total verified Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions for a period
Carbon Neutral Certificate Issued when net emissions = 0 (reductions + retirements cover 100% of footprint)
Net-Zero Aligned Certificate Confirms alignment with SBTi near-term or net-zero standard
Offset Retirement Certificate Per-retirement record; references registry serial numbers
Custom Certificate Named award for a specific achievement (e.g. "Scope 2 Zero for 2024")

Requesting a certificate

  1. Go to Certificates → Request Certificate
  2. Select the certificate type
  3. Complete the request form

Common form fields

Field Description
Certification period Start and end date the certificate covers
Beneficiary name Legal entity name to print on the certificate
Scope coverage Which scopes the certificate claims cover

  1. Click Submit for Review

Eligibility checks

Before you can submit, the system validates:

  • All emission entries for the period are in Approved state
  • If claiming Carbon Neutral: sufficient credits have been retired to cover the net footprint
  • If claiming SBTi alignment: an active SBTi-type target is configured with the period in range

Any failed checks are listed as blocking issues you must resolve before submitting.

Certificate numbering

Certificates are issued with a permanent, cryptographically verifiable ID in the format:

CERT-{YEAR}-{ORG_CODE}-{SEQUENCE}

Example: CERT-2024-ACME-0012

This ID is embedded in the QR code on the certificate and links to a public verification page.

Downloading your certificate

Once approved (see Approval Workflow), you can download:

  • PDF certificate — full design with logo, period, emissions data, offset details and QR code
  • SVG badge — for embedding on websites and email signatures
  • Verification link — a public URL at alchemos.io/verify/{cert-id} that anyone can check

Using certificates

Permitted uses (all plans):

  • Annual reports and sustainability disclosures
  • Investor communications
  • Website and email signature badges
  • Press releases

Required attribution: "Issued by AlchemOS Positive | Verify at alchemos.io/verify/"

Prohibited: Using the certificate outside the stated period, applying it to products or scopes not covered by the certification.

Certificate wallet

Go to Certificates → Certificate Wallet to see all your issued certificates, with their type, period, status and download links.

Certificates never expire but are tied to the specific period and data snapshot at the time of issuance.
